Hi my name is Tina I am from Winchester, Virginia and I thought this would be a great way to share our experiences with friends through out the world. to show that there are others in parts of the world that care. I have started this Wiki site so that you can tell of your experience as a care taker or one that is going or have gone through this horrible disease.

If you would take the time to tell your stories , show your pics,and videos to show that we are not alone. pass this on to friends and loved ones to let other women know how they can get help when undergoing treatment.

If you know or if you have a professional cleaning business coming to clean your home let them know that they can become a partner with Cleaning For A Reason Foundation. this is an organization where cleaning businesses give of their time to women that are taking treatment by giving free cleaning. all they need to do is call the organization and let them know that they want to be a partner. they can also go to www.cleaningforareason.org

My mission is to have this past on to women all over so that they can get the help they need. To be able to come to the site and read from others to get comfort through others. Please pass this on this could be the first step in helping someone you don't know. that is what it is all about.

Hi I'm Tina. Thank you for taking the time to read my Wiki pages. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2001. my tumor was the size of a 6 month fetus and my CT was 1000. the tumor was touching every organ which Doctors were concerned. I was sent to UVA in Virginia to have them take care of me.

Before going to UVA I had taken all my testing in my town. One of the nurses that helped me from one of the tests had told me that she was going to put my name on the world prayer chain on the Internet. I also had churches in all areas praying for me.

As I look back on this whole experience of mine. I did not have the feeling of fear , I was not afraid. I was just going around talking to people and living my days as if it were another day.

Once the surgery was over and the day I was to leave the hospital my doctor came back to me a second time that morning and looked at me and said you know? I have at least two patients a year that come through lucky and you happen to be one of them! and pointed to the pathology papers and it said benign.

When going to a follow up with my doctor in Winchester the nurse and my doctor told me that I was a miracle that they had not seen test result come through their office that high.

I continued to see both doctors for five years with tests and keeping a close eye on me. when the fifth year came around my doctor at told me that I should be good to go that normally after five years there is a low percentage of cancer. but I still have my doctor that I go to in Winchester.

My experience has given me greater faith in my Father. to have gone through such an experience as this and have no fear he was and is taking care of me!

This is just one of the reasons that I am partners withwww.cleaningforareason.org to help others. If you are in the Winchester Va. area and need help cleaning while going through treatment have your doctor write up a note on his prescription pad and you can fax it in to get things going quicker.
